- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 2 tablespoons milk or cream
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Instructions
- Prepare the Pan & Oven: Begin by greasing a 9×5 inch loaf pan. Line the bottom with parchment paper for easier removal. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Make Crisp Topping: In a medium bowl, combine 1 cup of all-purpose flour, 1/2 cup rolled oats, 3/4 cup light brown sugar, 1 teaspoon of cinnamon, and 1/4 teaspoon of nutmeg. Drizzle in 1/2 cup melted butter and mix until crumbly. Refrigerate this mixture while you prepare the other components.
- Prepare Cinnamon-Sugar & Apples: In a small bowl, mix together 1/4 cup brown sugar and 1 teaspoon of cinnamon. Set aside. In another bowl, combine 2 cups of diced apples, 2 tablespoons of granulated sugar, and 1 teaspoon of cinnamon. Toss well to coat the apples and set aside.

- Bake: Place the loaded loaf pan into the preheated oven and bake for 55 to 70 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean. Once baked, remove it from the oven and let it cool in the pan for 20-30 minutes.
- Make Glaze: To finish, mix 1 cup of powdered sugar with 2 tablespoons of milk or cream and 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract in a bowl until you achieve a smooth glaze. Drizzle it over the cooled bread before slicing.
