Description

Enjoy Delicious Chicken Stuffed Crescent Rolls—flaky crescent rolls filled with creamy, savory chicken for a perfect appetizer or main dish.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 can (8 oz) refrigerated crescent roll dough
  • 1 cup cooked chicken, shredded (approximately 2 medium chicken breasts)
  • 1/2 cup cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/4 cup green onions, finely chopped
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 1 egg (for egg wash)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven: Begin by preheating your oven to 375°F (190°C). This ensures that the rolls will bake evenly and turn golden brown.
  2. Prepare the filling: In a mixing bowl, combine 1 cup shredded cooked chicken, 1/2 cup softened cream cheese, 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese, 1/4 cup finely chopped green onions, 1 tsp garlic powder, 1/2 tsp salt, and 1/4 tsp black pepper. Mix until all the ingredients are thoroughly combined.
  3. Unroll the crescent dough: Open the can of refrigerated crescent roll dough and carefully unroll it onto a clean surface. Separate the dough into 8 triangles along the pre-cut lines.
  4. Fill the dough: Take about 2 tablespoons of the chicken filling and place it near the wide end of each triangle. Be careful not to overfill, as it could ooze out during baking.
  5. Roll the crescents: Gently roll the triangle from the wide end towards the point to form a crescent shape. Ensure the filling is tucked inside and the point is tucked underneath the roll to secure the filling.
  6. Prepare for baking: Place the rolled crescents on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. In a small bowl, beat 1 egg and brush it over each crescent roll for a beautiful golden finish.
  7. Bake the rolls: Transfer the baking sheet to the preheated oven and bake for 12-15 minutes or until the rolls are puffed and golden brown. Keep an eye on them to prevent over-browning.
  8. Serve and enjoy: Remove the rolls from the oven and let them cool for a few minutes. Serve warm, preferably with a dipping sauce of your choice!
