Description
Warm up with hot vanilla spiced tea! This comforting blend of flavors is perfect for cozy nights and easy to make at home. Enjoy a soothing sip!
Ingredients
Scale
- 2 cups milk (or milk alternative such as almond, oat, or soy milk)
- 1 black tea bag (such as English Breakfast or Darjeeling)
- 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
- 1–2 tablespoons honey or sugar (to taste)
- 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon (plus extra for garnish)
- 1/8 teaspoon ground nutmeg
- 1 cinnamon stick (optional, for garnish)
Instructions
- Heat the milk: In a medium saucepan, pour in 2 cups of your chosen milk. Place the saucepan over medium heat and gently simmer the milk. Be sure not to let it boil, as boiling can affect the texture and taste.
- Steep the tea: Once the milk is heated through, remove the saucepan from the heat and add 1 black tea bag. Let the tea steep for about 3-5 minutes. The longer you steep, the stronger the tea flavor will be; adjust according to your preference.
- Add flavor: After steeping the tea, carefully remove the tea bag. Stir in 1 tablespoon of vanilla extract, followed by 1-2 tablespoons of honey or sugar to suit your taste, 1/4 teaspoon of ground cinnamon, and 1/8 teaspoon of ground nutmeg. Mix until fully incorporated.
- Garnish & serve: Pour the warm tea into a mug of your choice. To finish, sprinkle a little cinnamon on top for garnish, and if you’re feeling indulgent, add a cinnamon stick for an extra touch of flavor. Enjoy your comforting cup of Hot Vanilla Spiced Tea!
