Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper to prevent sticking.
- In a mixing bowl, combine:
- 8 oz cream cheese, softened
- 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 2-3 jalapenos, seeded & chopped
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp onion powder
- Salt & pepper to taste
- Mix the ingredients thoroughly until well combined and creamy. You can use a hand mixer or simply a spatula for this step.
- Unroll and separate the 1 lb of crescent roll dough into triangles on a clean surface.
- Spoon about a tablespoon of the cheese mixture onto the wide end of each triangle.
- Roll the dough from the wide end to the pointed end, ensuring the filling is sealed inside. Pinch the edges to secure the roll.
- Place the rolled bites onto the prepared baking sheet, leaving space between each one for even cooking.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes, or until the bites are golden brown and crispy. You’ll know they’re ready when they look deliciously puffed and slightly golden.
- Once baked, remove from the oven and let them cool slightly before garnishing with fresh chives, if desired.
- Serve warm and enjoy this scrumptious appetizer!
