Baked Garlic Parmesan Potato Wedges

Baked Garlic Parmesan Potato Wedges

Ingredients

  • Russet potatoes: 4 sliced into wedges (ensure uniform shape)
  • Italian seasoning: 1 ½ teaspoons for a hint of herbal flavor
  • Salt and pepper: To taste (enhancing overall flavor)
  • Olive oil: 4 tablespoons to help achieve that golden brown color
  • Garlic powder: 2 teaspoons for that essential garlicky kick
  • Parmesan cheese: ½ cup shredded (adding richness and depth)
  • Ranch dressing or ketchup: Optional for serving (providing a creamy or tangy contrast)
  • Parsley: Optional for garnish (bringing a fresh pop of color)

Instructions

  1. 1

Preheat the oven: Begin by setting your oven to 375°F (190°C). While the oven is heating, grease a large baking sheet or pan with olive oil or cooking spray to prevent sticking.

  2. 2

Prepare the potatoes: In a mixing bowl, combine the potato wedges with 4 tablespoons of olive oil, 2 teaspoons of garlic powder, salt and pepper to taste, and 1 ½ teaspoons of Italian seasoning. Toss well to ensure each wedge is evenly coated with the mixture.

  3. 3

Add the Parmesan: Sprinkle ½ cup of shredded Parmesan cheese over the seasoned potato wedges. Toss gently again, allowing the cheese to cling to the surfaces of the wedges.

  4. 4

Arrange and bake: Place the well-seasoned potato wedges in a single layer on the greased baking sheet. Make sure there is space between each wedge to promote even cooking and crisping.

  5. 5

Bake: Place the baking sheet in the preheated oven and cook for 25–35 minutes. Check for doneness by pressing a fork into a wedge; it should be tender on the inside and golden brown on the outside. For extra crispiness, flip the wedges halfway through the cooking time.

  6. 6

Serve: Once baked, transfer the golden wedges to a serving dish. You can garnish with freshly chopped parsley for an added touch of freshness and color.

  7. 7

Optional dips: Serve with ranch dressing, ketchup, or your favorite dipping sauce to complement the flavors of your potato wedges.
