Brazilian Lemonade

Brazilian Lemonade

Ingredients

  • 6 cupscold water: The base of the drink (providing the necessary liquid to blend with other ingredients.)
  • 5limes (cut into wedges: The main star that gives this drink its signature tartness and flavor.)
  • 1/2 cupgranulated sugar: Sweetens the drink (balancing the acidity of the limes for a harmonious flavor.)
  • 1/4 cupsweetened condensed milk (or more to taste: Adds a creamy richness that elevates the drink, making it refreshing yet indulgent.)
  • Ice for serving: Essential for chilling the drink (making it even more refreshing on a hot day.)

Instructions

  1. 1

Into a blender, add 6 cups of cold water, 5 lime wedges, and 1/2 cup of granulated sugar. Blend on high until smooth, ensuring that the lime wedges are well-blended.

  2. 2

Place a fine mesh strainer over a bowl and pour the blender contents into the strainer, making sure to collect the liquid in the bowl below.

  3. 3

Discard the lime pulp and pieces remaining in the strainer. This step ensures a smooth drink without any chunky texture.

  4. 4

Rinse out the blender to avoid any pulp residue. Pour the strained lime juice mixture (from the bowl) back into the blender. Add 1/4 cup of sweetened condensed milk.

  5. 5

Blend again on high until the mixture is smooth and frothy, creating a luscious texture.

  6. 6

Fill a glass with ice and pour the Brazilian lemonade over top. Garnish with slices of fresh lime for a beautiful presentation.
