Cheesy Ground Beef Delight Wrap with Creamy Sauce

Cheesy Ground Beef Delight Wrap with Creamy Sauce

Ingredients

  • Ground Beef (1 pound: The star of the dish, ground beef offers a hearty base filled with flavor. Opt for lean ground beef for a healthier option.)
  • Tortillas (4 large: The vessel for our filling; flour or whole wheat tortillas can be used based on preference.)
  • Shredded Cheddar Cheese (1 cup: Provides a creamy texture and tangy flavor that complements the beef.)
  • Sour Cream (1/2 cup: Adds richness and a pleasing tang to the creamy sauce.)
  • Cream of Mushroom Soup (1 can or 10.5 oz: A key ingredient in the sauce, delivering creaminess and depth of flavor. Look for lower-sodium options if desired.)
  • Onion (1 medium, chopped: Infused flavor that enhances the meat filling; can be substituted with green onions for a milder taste.)
  • Garlic (2 cloves, minced: Adds aromatic depth; don't skip this ingredient!)
  • Salt (to taste: Enhances all the flavors in the dish.)
  • Pepper (to taste: For a little kick.)
  • Olive Oil (2 tablespoons: Used for sautéing the onions and garlic.)

Instructions

  1. 1

Prepare the Ingredients: Gather all ingredients. Dice the onion and mince the garlic. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).

  2. 2

Sauté the Onions and Garlic: In a large skillet, heat 2 tablespoons of olive oil over medium heat. Add the chopped onion and minced garlic, and sauté until the onion becomes translucent, about 3-4 minutes.

  3. 3

Cook the Ground Beef: Add 1 pound of ground beef to the skillet. Cook until browned and cooked through, breaking it apart with a spoon, around 8-10 minutes. Drain excess fat if necessary.

  4. 4

Season the Beef: Season the cooked beef mixture with salt and pepper to taste. Mix well and set aside.

  5. 5

Make the Creamy Sauce: In a bowl, combine 1/2 cup sour cream and 1 can of cream of mushroom soup. Mix until smooth and well combined, then stir it into the beef mixture.

  6. 6

Assemble the Wraps: Lay out each of the 4 large tortillas. Spoon a generous amount of the beef and cream mixture onto each tortilla, top with 1 cup of shredded cheddar cheese. Roll tightly to form a wrap.

  7. 7

Bake the Wraps: Place the wraps seam side down in a greased baking dish. Bake in the preheated oven for about 15-20 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.

  8. 8

Serve: Remove from the oven and let cool for a few minutes before slicing in half. Serve warm with your favorite garnishes or sauces.
