Chicken Bacon Ranch Stuffed Bread

Chicken Bacon Ranch Stuffed Bread

Ingredients

  • 116 inch loaf Italian bread: The perfect vessel for your creamy filling, it adds a nice crunchy texture on the outside while remaining soft on the inside.
  • 18 oz package chive & onion cream cheese, softened: This provides a rich and tangy creaminess that ties the filling together beautifully.
  • 1 cupRanch dressing: A key ingredient that adds flavor and moisture to the filling. You can use homemade or store-bought (depending on your preference.)
  • 1 ½ tspgarlic salt: Enhances the overall flavor (bringing a delightful garlicky taste that complements the dish.)
  • 1 tsponion powder: Adds depth and a mild sweetness to the filling.
  • 3 cupschopped rotisserie chicken: A time-saver and an excellent source of protein. Use shredded or cubed chicken for ease of mixing.
  • 6 slicesturkey bacon (cooked & crumbled: This provides a crispy texture and smoky flavor. Feel free to substitute with regular bacon if preferred.)
  • 3medium green onions (chopped: Offers a fresh crunch and bright flavor that balances the richness of the other ingredients.)
  • 3 cupsshredded Colby-Jack cheese: A blend of flavors that melts beautifully (creating that gooey deliciousness we crave.)
  • 1 Tbspmelted butter: Used for brushing the bread before baking (it adds a golden color and enhances the flavor.)

Instructions

  1. 1

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Preheating ensures that your dish cooks evenly and achieves that perfect crispy exterior.

  2. 2

Mix the filling: In a large mixing bowl, combine 1 (8 oz) package of softened chive & onion cream cheese, 1 cup of Ranch dressing, 1 ½ tsp of garlic salt, and 1 tsp of onion powder. Stir until smooth, and then gently fold in 3 cups of chopped rotisserie chicken, 6 slices of crumbled turkey bacon, 3 medium chopped green onions, and 1 cup of shredded Colby-Jack cheese until everything is well combined.

  3. 3

Prepare the bread: Take your 1 (16 inch) loaf of Italian bread and slice it in half lengthwise. Carefully hollow out the inside, leaving a shell around the crust to hold the filling.

  4. 4

Assemble the bread: Spread half the remaining 2 cups of shredded Colby-Jack cheese inside the hollowed-out loaf. Next, spoon in the creamy filling and spread it evenly. Top with the last 1 cup of shredded cheese before placing the other half of the bread back on top to seal it.

  5. 5

Brush the outside with melted butter: Using a brush, apply 1 Tbsp of melted butter on the outer crust of the bread to give it that inviting golden color.

  6. 6

Wrap in foil: Tightly wrap the entire stuffed loaf in aluminum foil to keep it moist while baking.

  7. 7

Bake in the preheated oven for 30-40 minutes: This will allow all the flavors to meld together. For the last 5 minutes, uncover the bread to crisp up the crust.

  8. 8

Serve warm: Once baked, let the stuffed bread sit for about 5 minutes before slicing. This will make it easier to cut and serve. Enjoy your delightful creation!
