Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper to prevent sticking.
8 oz cream cheese, softened
1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
2-3 jalapenos, seeded & chopped
1 tsp garlic powder
1/2 tsp onion powder
Salt & pepper to taste
Mix the ingredients thoroughly until well combined and creamy. You can use a hand mixer or simply a spatula for this step.
Unroll and separate the 1 lb of crescent roll dough into triangles on a clean surface.
Spoon about a tablespoon of the cheese mixture onto the wide end of each triangle.
Roll the dough from the wide end to the pointed end, ensuring the filling is sealed inside. Pinch the edges to secure the roll.
Place the rolled bites onto the prepared baking sheet, leaving space between each one for even cooking.
Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes, or until the bites are golden brown and crispy. You'll know they’re ready when they look deliciously puffed and slightly golden.
Once baked, remove from the oven and let them cool slightly before garnishing with fresh chives, if desired.
Serve warm and enjoy this scrumptious appetizer!
