Pomegranate Goat Cheese Bites

Pomegranate Goat Cheese Bites

Ingredients

  • 12frozen phyllo shells
  • 4 tbspgoat cheese chevre
  • 1/2 cuppomegranate arils
  • 2 tsphoney
  • 2 tbspfresh thyme

Instructions

  1. 1

Preheat your oven: Set your oven to 350°F (175°C). This ensures that your bites will cook evenly and achieve that golden-brown color.

  2. 2

Prepare the phyllo shell: Take the frozen phyllo shells out of the packaging. Arrange them on a baking tray lined with parchment paper to prevent sticking.

  3. 3

Fill the phyllo shells: Using a small spoon, fill each phyllo shell with 1 teaspoon of goat cheese (approximately 4 tablespoons total). Make sure to distribute the cheese evenly among the shells.

  4. 4

Add thyme and honey: Sprinkle fresh thyme over the goat cheese filling (about 1/2 teaspoon of thyme per stack), then drizzle 1/2 teaspoon of honey on top of each filled shell.

  5. 5

Bake: Place the baking tray in the oven and bake for 6-7 minutes, or until the phyllo shells are golden brown and crispy, and the cheese is warm and soft.

  6. 6

Finish with pomegranate arils: Remove the bites from the oven and let them cool slightly. Top each bite with a couple of pomegranate arils and sprinkle additional thyme for garnishing.

  7. 7

Serve: Serve the bites warm or at room temperature on a platter. Enjoy your festive creation!
