Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C). This step ensures that your salmon cooks evenly and achieves a beautiful glaze.
1 tablespoon honey
1 tablespoon sriracha
4 tablespoons lemon juice
1 tablespoon minced garlic
2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil.
Mix well until all ingredients are thoroughly combined into a cohesive sauce.
Prepare the salmon: Season the 1 1/2 lb salmon with 2 teaspoons of salt and 1 teaspoon of freshly ground pepper on both sides.
Pour the sauce over the seasoned salmon. Make sure each piece is coated well. Let this marinate for about 10 minutes—this step allows the salmon to absorb the flavors.
Transfer salmon to a baking pan. Ensure it’s arranged in a single layer for even cooking. Cover the pan with foil to protect the fish during the initial cooking stage.
Bake the salmon for 20 minutes. This gentle cooking will keep the fish moist. After 20 minutes, uncover the salmon and bake for an additional 5 minutes to achieve a nice caramelization.
Remove from the oven and serve immediately. The dish is best enjoyed fresh to savor the sticky glaze!
