  • 1 pre-made pizza crust (about 12 inches)
  • 6 large eggs
  • 1 cup of milk
  • ½ cup of all-purpose flour
  • 4 tablespoons of unsalted butter
  • ½ teaspoon of salt
  • ¼ teaspoon of black pepper
  • ¼ teaspoon of nutmeg (optional)
  • 1 cup of turkey bacon, cooked and crumbled
  • 1 cup of shredded cheese (such as cheddar or mozzarella)
  • Chopped fresh parsley, for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). This ensures that your pizza crust will become perfectly crispy.
  2. Start making the béchamel sauce. In a medium saucepan, melt 4 tablespoons of unsalted butter over medium heat. Once melted, add ½ cup of all-purpose flour and whisk together for about 1-2 minutes until it forms a roux, which can be recognized by its slightly golden color.
  3. Gradually pour in 1 cup of milk while continuously whisking to avoid lumps. Continue to cook for 5-7 minutes until the sauce thickens and coats the back of a spoon. Season with ½ teaspoon of salt, ¼ teaspoon of black pepper, and ¼ teaspoon of nutmeg (if using). Remove from heat.
  4. In a separate bowl, crack 6 large eggs and whisk them until fully combined. You can add a pinch of salt and pepper to the eggs for seasoning.
  5. On the pre-made pizza crust, spread a layer of the béchamel sauce evenly across the surface.
  6. Sprinkle the crumbled turkey bacon (1 cup) over the béchamel layer, followed by the whisked eggs.
  7. Finally, top it all with 1 cup of shredded cheese. Ensure even coverage for a beautiful melt.
  8. Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until the eggs are set and the cheese is bubbly and golden brown.
  9. Once finished, remove from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes before slicing.
