Description
Spice up your meals with Hot Honey Salmon—tender salmon glazed with sweet and spicy honey for a delicious, flavorful main dish.
Ingredients
Scale
- 4 salmon fillets (6 ounces each)
- 1/3 cup honey
- 2 tablespoons sriracha sauce
- 1 tablespoon soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 2 cloves garlic (minced)
- 1 tablespoon fresh lime juice
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- Fresh cilantro, for garnish
Instructions
- Prepare the Marinade: In a mixing bowl, whisk together 1/3 cup honey, 2 tablespoons sriracha sauce, 1 tablespoon soy sauce, 1 tablespoon olive oil, 2 minced garlic cloves, and 1 tablespoon fresh lime juice. Adjust the heat level by adding more or less sriracha based on your preferences.
- Marinate the Salmon: Place the 4 salmon fillets in a shallow dish and pour the marinade over the fish. Make sure each fillet is well coated. Cover the dish with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes, allowing the flavors to meld.
- Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). This temperature will give you a crispy exterior while keeping the salmon moist inside.
- Bake the Salmon: Line a baking sheet with parchment paper for easy cleanup. Remove the salmon from the marinade (reserve the marinade) and place the fillets skin-side down on the lined baking sheet. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Glaze and Bake: Brush a generous amount of the reserved marinade over the top of each fillet. Bake the salmon for about 12-15 minutes or until it flakes easily with a fork and has a nice glaze.
- Broil for a Finish: Optional – for an extra caramelized finish, switch the oven to broil and cook for an additional 2-3 minutes. Keep a close eye to prevent burning.
- Serve: Remove the salmon from the oven and let it rest for a couple of minutes. Garnish with fresh cilantro before serving.
