Banana Delight Pudding

Banana Delight Pudding—creamy, dreamy layers of bananas, vanilla pudding, and whipped cream. A simple, irresistible dessert for any occasion.

Ingredients

  • 2 boxes Instant Pudding Mix Vanilla or French Vanilla - These mixes provide the pudding’s smooth, creamy base. Opt for high-quality brands for the best flavor.
  • 2 cups cold milk - Essential for mixing with the pudding to achieve the right consistency. Whole milk is recommended but you can use almond or non-dairy milk for alternatives.
  • 14 oz sweet condensed milk - This adds a rich sweetness and creaminess enhancing the dessert's overall flavor profile.
  • 8 oz softened cream cheese - Adds richness and a slight tanginess perfectly balancing the sweetness of the pudding.
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract - Essential for rounding out the flavors providing a lovely aroma, and a warm vanilla essence.
  • 8 oz Cool Whip - A light topping that integrates aeration into the pudding creating a delightful texture.
  • 2 boxes vanilla wafers - Provides a crunchy texture that contrasts beautifully with the creamy pudding layers.
  • 4 ripe bananas - Fresh bananas not only add natural sweetness but also bring a delicious flavor to the layers.
  • 1 box Chessman cookies optional - These elegantly shaped cookies can serve as a stunning topping, adding a buttery flavor that complements the pudding.

Method

  1. Prepare the pudding mixture: In a mixing bowl, whisk together 2 boxes of Instant Pudding Mix and 2 cups of cold milk. Ensure there are no lumps. Once well combined, refrigerate the mixture for about 30 minutes to set.
  2. Make the cream cheese blend: In another bowl, use an electric mixer to beat 8 oz of softened cream cheese until smooth. Gradually add 14 oz of sweet condensed milk and 1 tsp of vanilla extract. Beat until fully combined. Gently fold in 8 oz of Cool Whip until it's light and airy, careful not to deflate it.
  3. Combine the mixtures: Once the pudding has set, fold in the cream cheese blend. Mix until everything is smooth and well incorporated.
  4. Layer the ingredients: In a large serving dish, place a layer of 2 boxes of vanilla wafers at the bottom. Pour a layer of the pudding mixture over the wafers, followed by a layer of 4 sliced ripe bananas. Repeat the layers twice more, finishing with a layer of the pudding mixture on top.
  5. Chill the dessert: Cover the dish and refrigerate overnight. This allows the flavors to meld beautifully.
  6. Serve and garnish: Before serving, optionally top with Chessman cookies and drizzle with caramel for an extra touch of sweetness. Enjoy your refreshing and delightful dessert!
