Method
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). This ensures that your spinach balls will bake evenly and get that perfect golden-brown crust.
In a large mixing bowl, combine:
- 20 oz frozen chopped spinach, defrosted and drained
- 2 cups gluten-free breadcrumbs
- 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1/2 cup melted unsalted butter
- 1 bunch chopped green onions
- 3 large eggs
- 1 cup shredded white cheddar cheese
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- Mix the ingredients thoroughly. Use your hands or a large spoon to combine everything until evenly mixed.
- Form the mixture into balls. Using a small ice cream scoop or your hands, shape about 36 balls. Make sure they're not too large, as smaller ones will bake more uniformly.
- Place the balls on a greased baking sheet. Ensure that they are spaced out evenly to allow for even cooking.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until golden brown. Keep an eye on them, as ovens can vary in temperature.
- Once they are beautifully browned and fragrant, remove them from the oven and let them cool for a few minutes before serving.
