Ingredients
  

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 cup bread crumbs
  • ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 onion chopped
  • 2 garlic cloves minced
  • 2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 cup mushrooms sliced
  • 1 cup turkey or chicken broth
  • Salt & pepper to taste
  • 2 tbsp olive oil

Method
 

  1. Heat Olive Oil: Start by heating 2 tablespoons of olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
  2. Prepare the Patties: In a mixing bowl, combine 1 lb ground beef, 1 cup bread crumbs, ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese, 1 chopped onion, 2 minced garlic cloves, 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce, and salt and pepper to taste. Mix until all ingredients are well incorporated.
  3. Form Patties: Shape the mixture into 4 equal-sized patties, ensuring they are uniform for even cooking.
  4. Cook Patties: In the heated skillet, add the patties and cook for 4-5 minutes on each side until they are nicely browned. Once cooked, remove the patties from the skillet and set aside.
  5. Sauté Mushrooms: In the same skillet, add 1 cup sliced mushrooms and sauté until they are softened and lightly browned, about 5 minutes.
  6. Add Broth: Pour in 1 cup of beef or chicken broth, stirring to combine. Allow the mixture to simmer for a few minutes until the gravy begins to thicken.
  7. Return Patties: Place the cooked beef patties back into the skillet, allowing them to simmer in the gravy for an additional 5 minutes, absorbing all those delicious flavors.
  8. Serve: Once the patties are cooked through and heated, serve them hot, topped generously with the mushroom gravy. Enjoy your meal!
