- Add the chicken, salt, pepper, and garlic to the slow cooker.2 tablespoons minced garlic, 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt, 1/4 teaspoon coarse ground black pepper, 1/3 cup packed light brown sugar
- If you prefer crispier skin, brown the chicken skin-side down in a pan with about 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil for a few minutes before placing it in the slow cooker. You can also sear the skin in the slow cooker if it has a sear function.
- Mix the ingredients and then flip the chicken skin side up.
- Sprinkle the brown sugar over the top.
- Cook on low for 480 minutes or high for 240 minutes.
- (Optional) Garnish with fresh chopped parsley before serving.
