Enjoy a Cheesy Ground Beef Delight Wrap filled with seasoned beef, melted cheese, and creamy sauce. A satisfying main dish perfect for any meal.

Ingredients

  • Ground Beef 1 pound: The star of the dish, ground beef offers a hearty base filled with flavor. Opt for lean ground beef for a healthier option.
  • Tortillas 4 large: The vessel for our filling; flour or whole wheat tortillas can be used based on preference.
  • Shredded Cheddar Cheese 1 cup: Provides a creamy texture and tangy flavor that complements the beef.
  • Sour Cream 1/2 cup: Adds richness and a pleasing tang to the creamy sauce.
  • Cream of Mushroom Soup 1 can or 10.5 oz: A key ingredient in the sauce, delivering creaminess and depth of flavor. Look for lower-sodium options if desired.
  • Onion 1 medium, chopped: Infused flavor that enhances the meat filling; can be substituted with green onions for a milder taste.
  • Garlic 2 cloves, minced: Adds aromatic depth; don't skip this ingredient!
  • Salt to taste: Enhances all the flavors in the dish.
  • Pepper to taste: For a little kick.
  • Olive Oil 2 tablespoons: Used for sautéing the onions and garlic.

Method

  1. Prepare the Ingredients: Gather all ingredients. Dice the onion and mince the garlic. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Sauté the Onions and Garlic: In a large skillet, heat 2 tablespoons of olive oil over medium heat. Add the chopped onion and minced garlic, and sauté until the onion becomes translucent, about 3-4 minutes.
  3. Cook the Ground Beef: Add 1 pound of ground beef to the skillet. Cook until browned and cooked through, breaking it apart with a spoon, around 8-10 minutes. Drain excess fat if necessary.
  4. Season the Beef: Season the cooked beef mixture with salt and pepper to taste. Mix well and set aside.
  5. Make the Creamy Sauce: In a bowl, combine 1/2 cup sour cream and 1 can of cream of mushroom soup. Mix until smooth and well combined, then stir it into the beef mixture.
  6. Assemble the Wraps: Lay out each of the 4 large tortillas. Spoon a generous amount of the beef and cream mixture onto each tortilla, top with 1 cup of shredded cheddar cheese. Roll tightly to form a wrap.
  7. Bake the Wraps: Place the wraps seam side down in a greased baking dish. Bake in the preheated oven for about 15-20 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  8. Serve: Remove from the oven and let cool for a few minutes before slicing in half. Serve warm with your favorite garnishes or sauces.
