Method

  1. Preheat your oven: Start by preheating your oven to 400°F (200°C). Prepare a baking sheet by lining it with parchment paper to prevent sticking.
  2. Roll out the pastry: Once the puff pastry is thawed, roll it out lightly on a floured surface. Cut the pastry into four equal squares, approximately 5x5 inches in size.
  3. Add the cookie dough: Take 1/2 cup of chocolate chip cookie dough and place a generous spoonful in the center of each pastry square.

  6. Bake: Place the turnovers on the prepared baking sheet and bake them in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes or until golden brown and puffed. Monitor closely to avoid over-browning.
  7. Drizzle with glaze: If desired, mix together 1/2 cup of powdered sugar, 1-2 tbsp of milk, and 1/4 tsp of vanilla extract in a small bowl to create a glaze. Drizzle the glaze over the warm turnovers and dust with powdered sugar for an added touch of sweetness.
