  • Milk: ¾ cup
  • Vegetable Oil: Enough for deep frying approximately 2 to 3 cups (depending on the size of your pot)
  • Whipped Cream for serving: Optional, to taste

Method

  1. Preheat the Oil: Heat about 3 inches of vegetable oil in a deep pot to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.
  2. Prepare the Batter: In a bowl, mix the pancake mix, egg, milk, and a bit of oil until smooth.
  3. Coat Marshmallows: Dip each marshmallow into the batter, ensuring it's evenly coated, then gently shake off any excess.
  4. Fry Marshmallows: Place the coated marshmallows in the hot oil. Fry for about 30 seconds to 1 minute, turning occasionally, until golden brown.

Notes

  • Serving Suggestions: Serve immediately while warm for the best texture. Accompany with varied toppings like caramel sauce or powdered sugar for extra flavor.
  • Storing: These treats are best enjoyed fresh. However, if necessary, store them in an airtight container at room temperature for up to a day, although they may soften.
  • Customization: Experiment with batter flavors by adding vanilla extract or cinnamon for a unique twist.
