In a large skillet over medium heat, place the 1 lb. ground beef and 1 lb. ground hot sausage.
Cook until browned and cooked through, breaking up the meat as it cooks (approximately 7–10 minutes).
While the meat cooks, cut the 1 lb. Velveeta into cubes for easier melting.
Once the meat is cooked, drain off the excess grease (leaving a little is okay).
Add the 1 lb. Velveeta to the skillet, continuing to cook until melted and fully incorporated with the meat mixture (about 3–5 minutes).
Stir in the 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce, 1 teaspoon oregano, ½ teaspoon garlic salt, and ½ teaspoon salt until evenly combined.
Preheat your broiler to high.
On a lined baking sheet, arrange slices of 1 loaf party rye bread.
Using a spoon, place a 2-tablespoon-sized scoop of the cheese and meat mixture onto each slice of rye bread.
Broil the appetizers until hot and bubbly, approximately 2–3 minutes. Be sure to watch carefully to prevent burning! Alternatively, you can bake them in a preheated oven at 350°F for 15–18 minutes.
If desired, sprinkle with chopped parsley before serving.
