Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). This ensures that your pizza crust will become perfectly crispy.
Start making the béchamel sauce. In a medium saucepan, melt 4 tablespoons of unsalted butter over medium heat. Once melted, add ½ cup of all-purpose flour and whisk together for about 1-2 minutes until it forms a roux, which can be recognized by its slightly golden color.
Gradually pour in 1 cup of milk while continuously whisking to avoid lumps. Continue to cook for 5-7 minutes until the sauce thickens and coats the back of a spoon. Season with ½ teaspoon of salt, ¼ teaspoon of black pepper, and ¼ teaspoon of nutmeg (if using). Remove from heat.
In a separate bowl, crack 6 large eggs and whisk them until fully combined. You can add a pinch of salt and pepper to the eggs for seasoning.
On the pre-made pizza crust, spread a layer of the béchamel sauce evenly across the surface.
Sprinkle the crumbled turkey bacon (1 cup) over the béchamel layer, followed by the whisked eggs.
Finally, top it all with 1 cup of shredded cheese. Ensure even coverage for a beautiful melt.
Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until the eggs are set and the cheese is bubbly and golden brown.
Once finished, remove from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes before slicing.
Garnish the pizza with chopped fresh parsley, if desired, before serving hot.
