  • Pot of Boiling Water - For cooking the noodles.
  • Ice Bath - Stops the cooking process of the noodles and helps maintain their texture.

Method

Marinate the seafood:
  1. In a bowl, combine 1 pound of peeled and deveined shrimp and 5-10 imitation crab sticks with the Tony’s 30-Minute Seafood Marinade. Allow this to marinate for at least 30 minutes, letting all those robust flavors seep in.
Prep the vegetables:
  1. While the seafood marinates, slice 1 carrot into thin rounds, slice 1 onion, and chop 2 bell peppers. Set aside, along with 1 bunch of chopped green onions.
Prepare the sauce:
  1. In a mixing bowl, whisk together 2 cups of warm water, 1/2 cup oyster sauce (or sugar), 1/4 cup sesame oil, 1/2 cup dark soy sauce, and 2 tablespoons Tony’s Supreme Creole Crab Boil until well combined. This will serve as the flavorful sauce for your dish.
Cook the chow mein noodles:
  1. Boil the chow mein noodles in a pot of boiling water for 1-3 minutes until they're tender yet firm. Quickly transfer them to an ice bath to stop the cooking process and maintain their texture. Drain well before use.
Stir-fry the vegetables:
  1. In a hot wok or large skillet, heat 3 tablespoons of cooking oil. Add the prepared vegetables and stir-fry until they are soft, which should take about 3-5 minutes. Don’t forget to season with Tony’s Original Creole Seasoning according to your taste preferences.
Add the seafood:
  1. Toss in the marinated shrimp and imitation crab. Stir-fry until they are cooked through, approximately 3-4 minutes, or until the shrimp turns opaque.
Combine everything:
  1. Add the drained chow mein noodles to the wok along with the prepared sauce. Mix everything thoroughly, allowing the sauce to thicken and coat all the ingredients, about 5-10 minutes over medium heat.
Serve:
  1. Once everything is well combined and heated through, remove from heat. Plate your vibrant Creole Chow Mein and enjoy the bold flavors!
