Smash Burger

Ingredients
  

  • 1 lb ground hamburger (80/20)
  • seasoning salt
  • 4 slices American Cheese
  • 4 buns buttered

Method
 

  1. Divide hamburger into four pieces and form into loosely formed balls.
  2. Heat griddle to 375 degrees F.
  3. Place ball of hamburger on hot griddle.
  4. Cover with a piece of parchment paper and press down with a large spatula or bacon press.
  5. Get the patty as thin as you can.
  6. Sprinkle with seasoning. Cook for 2-3 minutes.
  7. Flip with spatula making sure to scrap up the crusty skin that has formed on the underneath side.
  8. Cover with slice of cheese.
  9. Cook for 1-2 more minutes.
  10. Place on toasted bun with desired condiments.
