Strawberry Bavarian Cream

This easy and tasty dessert features strawberries and whipped cream in a creamy gelatin base.

Ingredients
  

  • 1 package frozen sliced strawberries thawed
  • 1 cup boiling water
  • 1 package strawberry gelatin sugar free
  • 1 cup whipped cream chilled (I use cool whip)

Method
 

  1. Drain strawberries, reserving syrup.
  2. Pour boiling water over gelatin in a bowl, stirring until gelatin is dissolved.
  3. Add enough cold water to reserved syrup to measure 1 cup; stir into dissolved gelatin. Chill until almost set.
  4. Beat gelatin until foamy. Fold whipped cream and thawed strawberries into gelatin.
  5. Pour into a 1-quart mold or individual dessert dishes and chill until firm.
  6. Unmold; serve with sweetened whipped cream and garnish with strawberries or other fruits, if desired.
