Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup 60 g unsalted butter
  • 4 cloves garlic minced
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder optional, for extra flavor
  • 1/2 cup 120 ml heavy cream
  • 1/4 cup 25 g grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt or to taste
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon chopped fresh parsley optional, for garnish

Method

  1. Melt the Butter: In a small saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat.
  2. Cook the Garlic: Add the minced garlic to the butter and sauté for 1-2 minutes until fragrant but not browned. Be careful, as burnt garlic can ruin the sauce.
  3. Make the Sauce: Stir in the heavy cream and garlic powder (if using). Reduce the heat to low and let it simmer for 2-3 minutes, stirring occasionally to combine the flavors.
  4. Add Parmesan Cheese: Gradually whisk in the Parmesan cheese until fully melted and the sauce is smooth and creamy.
  5. Season: Add salt and pepper to taste, adjusting according to your preference.
  6. Garnish and Serve: Remove from heat and sprinkle with fresh parsley if desired. Serve warm as a pizza dipping sauce or drizzle it directly onto pizza slices.
