Ingredients
Scale
- 4 medium russet potatoes (about 1.5 lbs)
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 2 tbsp Old Bay seasoning (plus extra for garnish)
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- Fresh parsley, chopped (optional, for garnish)
- 8 oz cream cheese, softened
- 1/4 cup mayonnaise
- 1/4 cup sour cream
- 1 cup lump crab meat (fresh or canned)
- 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 tsp Old Bay seasoning
- 1 tsp lemon juice
- 1/2 tsp Worcestershire sauce
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 2 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped (optional)
- Lemon wedges
- Extra Old Bay seasoning for sprinkling
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C) or set your air fryer to 375°F (190°C) if using one.
- Wash and scrub the potatoes thoroughly. Cut them into evenly sized fries, about 1/4-inch thick. Soak the potato slices in cold water for at least 30 minutes, then drain and pat dry.
- Toss the potato slices with olive oil, Old Bay seasoning, garlic powder, and black pepper until evenly coated. Spread in a single layer on a baking sheet or in your air fryer basket.
- Bake in the oven for 25-30 minutes or air fry for 15-20 minutes, flipping/shaking occasionally, until golden brown and crispy.
- In a medium mixing bowl, combine cream cheese, mayonnaise, and sour cream. Mix until smooth. Fold in crab meat, cheddar cheese, Old Bay seasoning, lemon juice, Worcestershire sauce, minced garlic, and parsley.
- Transfer the mixture to an oven-safe dish and bake at 375°F (190°C) for 20 minutes or microwave for 2-3 minutes until warmed through.
- Remove the fries from the oven or air fryer, sprinkle with additional Old Bay seasoning, and garnish with parsley if desired. Serve with cheesy crab dip and lemon wedges.
Notes
- Fries can be cut thicker or thinner based on personal preference.
- For a healthier version, consider baking instead of frying.
- Store leftover crab dip in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days.
